Kleep, Kleep

I have loved oystercatchers (Haematopus Ostralegus) since I stayed in Shorelands, Malltraeth, Anglessey. This was the home of the artist C.F.Tunnicliffe who was a fabulous bird artist.

He illustrated many books from Tarka the Otter & Ladybird books to name just a couple. We have a print of one of his pictures which features oystercatchers which was bought on Anglessey and I still love looking at it, as well as the sketchbooks which he published.

This oystercatcher was busy looking for breakfast this morning in a wet and wild Inveraray.
