Henry Knight

Twenty-three Knight St turns out to associated with Henry Knight, born in Northampton UK, emigrated here in 1831, established a brick factory near the cottage to the right and became the first local mayor. It’s now part of a conservation area.

Henry’s is not a new name to me, so it was a delight to discover his connection through a plaque.
