Patience

Watched this Heron for several minutes and during that time no part of it moved at all.
I can’t do that in the supermarket checkout queue.

My extra shows a perrenial Sedge which builds up from year to year into these rather unusual mounds. It is appropriately called a Tussock Sedge. I cannot be sure whether it is Greater Tussock Sedge or Lesser Tussock Sedge. I did not have a Flora with me and I did not bring a botanist’s sample back home with me. But the chances are that not knowing will not be too great a disappointment for you.
I will check it out next time I go that way as some of you may have noticed I am a like to know sort of person !
