Red Kite

Feeling much better today - thank you for all your good wishes. I dragged myself out for walk - just 2.5 miles - but it felt like it was much further. Beautiful clear morning with warm sunshine, it does lift the spirits!! Anyway I managed to catch this red kite, fortunately I had my camera in my hand as I had been trying to photograph a butterfly near the ground. As I stood up the kite launched from a tree and flew just above my head and it was quite low as I snapped away. I still had the 100mm macro lens on - so have had to crop quite a lot!

I initially set off for the woods to try and photograph the flowers - and I did manage some wild garlic - so I have added that as an extra.
