Green Hairstreak

This morning we went to the very nearby Meathop Moss to see if we could find a Green Hairstreak butterfly and found ourselves almost surrounded by them.  I think there must have been a recent mass hatching as they were fluttering all around us.  I have never before seen them in such large numbers.
