Frosty Morning

Temperatures dropped well below freezing last night.  The fog rolled out of the river and submerged the valleys to the top of the mountains holding the cold against the ground. 
    When the sun finally forced the fog to relent the frost disappeared quickly... except in the shade.
    By afternoon the temperature went up 35 degrees and one could be out in a T-shirt.
