Poor Man’s Peas
Vetch is often seen in the hedgerows. The peas from some of the purple varieties apparently can be eaten provided they don’t have a crown on the top according to the web site www.wildfooduk.com. It is a very interesting site, but there are warnings to follow too.
They are really rather lovely to look at up close and are probably ignored by many passers by except bees.
