Thursday: Deep Bed No.2 - Planting Completed

This was how this bed looked on Monday when I started adding plants - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2962815266368523271 - they look a lot better after a few days in the ground.
Continued filling gaps in this deep bed: Chives between the strawberries, Plantain seedlings  - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2590642013678338264 - which are handy in winter for “garden salad”, Flat leaf parsley, Kale “Hungry Gap”, Wild Sea Cabbage and other Kales which have no labels, found a few more Swiss chard and corn salad, then everything mulched with grass mowings, which will keep moisture in the ground, prevent weeds growing and add nutrients to the soil, might even confuse the slugs too! Everything covered with wire mesh trays to keep cats off …
No rain predicted for next 10 days, so kitchen “grey water” (crockery washing up water using tiny amount of Fairy Liquid, water from washing salads and preparing vegetables) will be used on the garden, as I do every year.
Overcast and not too hot today, perfect for MrD to spray the little shed - after a trip across the island to get some paint!
After all our activities, Fish&Chips for tea.
