Fir enough!

This cone was in the grass outside Ali's. I know it's not really open cone time of year, this one has presumably lasted since last year, but isn't the shape wonderful. The way the individual seeds link together, just beautiful.
I didn't have a particularly good night's sleep last night so heading round to Ali's at lunch time took an effort, not to go and see her, just to get moving! We went to the Barnardos children's store at Linlithgow to drop some stuff off and to have a browse. I also popped into the shop next door, Aldi, and came home with a couple of very healthy looking aubrieta for which I have a spot already earmarked. They're good for softening lines as they grow into a clump.
Dinner tonight was liver and bacon with onions, a favourite for all three of us. Afterwards we watched Michael Portillo in Sicily, not one of his best I don't think, but we're enjoying the series.
