A discovery.

I have lived in Glendaruel for (very nearly) thirty years but had never seen this little fishing lodge until a few weeks ago, when I noticed it when standing talking to someone outside the village hall.

it sits across the river from the hall and a bit upstream, but is well concealed by trees along the river bank.   The lack of leaves, and a bit of clearance by a local farmer had I think opened up the view.

I walked to it this evening, across a wee suspension bridge , which again I had never seen before and which is  my extra picture.

it is a lovely little building and in very good condition.    I wondered  to whom it belonged but have just found this on line, which indicates  not only that it has been lovingly re-built in recent years but also that it is part of Home Farm, now a complex of holiday cottages for rent, which is owned by David Sutherland from  Inverness (formerly of Tulloch Homes) who has a local connection.
