Bell Song

Today's the day ......................... for a final flourish

Just before they disappear altogether, here's one of the late-flowering daffodils in our garden.

I think it's called 'Bell Song' and it's a jonquil daffodil - so not big - with two or three flower stems each carrying one or two nodding, fragrant flowers.  The outer petals start off pale buff yellow in colour, then become ivory-white.  The unusual part is the trumpet which is a gorgeous pale yellowish-pink.

It's always sad to say au revoir  to the daffodils - but hopefully they will appear in ever increasing numbers next year ....................
