The Picking Patch

I can't believe that I've caught a cold after about 3 years of being cold free. As it isn't COVID, I wouldn't normally be too concerned but I should have gone for my cataract op today. Of course, I had to cancel which was really annoying. I have got another appointment for around 6 weeks time (it would have been 3 weeks if it wasn't for my upcoming holiday).
To stop me from sitting around feeling sorry for myself, I popped along to a nearby village where an enterprising farmer has turned a piece of his land to growing flowers. Anyone can turn up and pick as many as they want, paying into the honesty box on the site.
So I'm still as blind as a bat, still full of cold, but with some glorious tulips to keep me company :-)
