Silverlake

This is the former sand and gravel quarry near Dorchester that's now being transformed by owners Habitat First into a nature reserve/luxury second home estate. They are trying to manage it for wildlife but construction and conservation don't always go well together. These early bursts of colour are Coltsfoot, a plant that loves disturbed ground.
