Abandoned project

A few years ago I decided I wanted to look more closely at pictures in the National Gallery. Drawing is a good way to do that, so D and I got new sketchbooks and planned to draw in one room per visit, and slowly make our way through the whole place. We started off enthusiastically and discovered wonderful things we hadn’t noticed before. But the crowds of other visitors made the drawing really difficult in a lot of rooms, so - another project abandoned.
I thought of this today because we were talking about how we both have a tendency to have too many irons in the fire. The stack of things in progress grows ….

I watched an interesting Japanese film, ‘Drive My Car.’
