According to Plan

Today we headed north to Inverness for the night as originally planned. 

We stopped at the Highland Wildlife park on the way up where we got close to some bison, saw some fiadh-chait & madadh-allaidhean * and watched Brodie the polar bear cub chasing birds (unsuccessfully). 

We walked a fair bit - it was a lovely day with bright blue skies, albeit a bit cold.

We had dinner at Eden Court before watching Scottish Ballet perform the Scandel at Mayerling. Overall it was very good with some really good bits - the tavern scene was outstanding and the duets between Mayerling and the various women in his life were generally excellent - but at times the dramatic tension seemed to evaporate. However well worth seeing and I would go and see it again.

All in all a good day.
