In our garage, the german wardrobe
Found this picture two years later and thought I might backblip it to where it belongs. I am surprised how happy and energetic I looked then. We had just come back from a wonderful trip to Southern California but were locked down right after our return. We did have two beautiful bikes for some outings and obviously had gotten the delivery of our favorite Zinfandel wines from the vinery in Santa Rosa which helped us over many frustrating indoor days or evenings. It was a lonely time for us then.
the wardrobe is one of the pieces of furniture that I brought over to America in 2004 from my house in Hamburg, Germany. It is about 150 years old and solid oak, which has helped it to survive the dismanteling and reputting together as well as the trip in a container over the Atlantic Ocean. It is as big as a little room, this is what Germans have in stead of closets. You can store enormous amounts of stuff in it....So the winter clothes, coats, wine, 45 rolls of beautiful toilet paper ( made from bamboo) , all disappeared in it easily.
