Cox's Apple Tree
Lots of Blossom this year so hopefully a good crop. It's a very old tree somewhere around 50 years old. We have lived here 51 years and we got it sometime in the first year when we were planning the garden.
Been busy with sewing the last couple of days. Paula got a duck down filled bolster for her bed but it was really too full so yesterday I opened it up and we took a load of feathers out and actually made another pillow with them. so had to sew everything back up, we had feathers everywhere. Then today she decided the cover for it was too tight and making it still hard so we found a sheet that isn't used and I have been making a new bolster cover, It's all tacked and ready for the machine but Kirsty came this afternoon to show us her new car so I didn't get round to machining it.
Kirsty had a bump with her other car and the insurance wrote it off even though it was reparable so she accepted what they offered and has now got another car, very nice too a Vauxhall Astra black. Her dad checked it before she bought it and had it at the garage today giving it the once over, and she had it fully valeted too this morning. I have to laugh, we do our own washing and valeting the inside. How much we save over the year.
So although it has been a lovely day (with a cool breeze again) I haven't even been out to the greenhouse, only walked the dogs in the woods first thing this morning. Just remembered this evening to nip out anf blip the blossom.
