First Daff Appears!

It may be a month late and shy but here is the first daffodil to show itself.
The foot of wet heavy snow has melted. If you look further back on this blip you can see the striped crocus colony or what's left of it. Sitting under the pressure of that snow squished all but one or two flowers.

The previous blip shows my ten foot tall lilac bushes pressed down to the ground. They came back up. It looks like we won't get many lilac flowers (or leaves) this year. It was a serous storm.
 Right now there are hundreds of utility trucks here from several states trying to get the electricity back on. Lots of trees are broken or down. The heavy snow took down trees all over the county. Some 100,000 people in the area were without electricity, or heat in most cases, for 4 or 5 days.
We are now looking forward to warm sunny days -- for the weekend, at least.
