Crispy

This is one of the tulips I bought about three weeks ago and I've left them to decay.  You can see the stamen are black and some of the pollen can be found on the stigma.  The stamen of another variety  were yellow and there wasn't much difference in petal colour.  To the touch the petals were crispy and extremely delicate.
My throat is still sore so I haven't been anywhere other than the garden, where my clumps of bluebells are beginning to bloom.  I'll check on them tomorrow and see how their fare.
