Happy Birthday

The ZX Spectrum was launched 40 years ago today.

I've blipped my rubber keyed version a couple of times over the years but I don't think I've shown this one.  It was a Spectrum+ upgrade.  We ordered the case (and therefore new keyboard) but had to unscrew the old rubber key one, transfer the board inside this case, solder the reset switch on, and then screw it all up again.

The little sticker in the top right is a personal addition. :-)

This machine is the foundation of my career I think - I wouldn't have spent over 30 years 'playing with computers' for a living without it.  The difference between now and then is that now I get paid for it, and get to play with much more complicated stuff!
