Three ten-year old girls in my road had a bake sale today in aid of Ukraine. The baked goods were of very high quality, as I can confirm.

I thought it was very enterprising of them, and asked how they had got the idea. "We were bored..." one of them started. They'd hatched the idea up on a playdate. There were plenty of adults there to support them but it had clearly been the girls' own initiative.

The sale was advertised on our street's WhatsApp and the stream of customers was slow but steady. I hope they did well out of it; they really deserve to.
