The young Crossbills …

were out in force in the woods by the loch, as were Tree Pipits and Woodpeckers. Was surprised to see the Black Grouse at their Lek still, after four months! Lovely to hear them ‘bubbling’!
As yesterday the misty morning turned into a hot and sunny afternoon and evening. The newts were active in the burn!
