Linlithgow Canal Centre

Our own Edinburgh Union Canal Society made a planned visit to our sister-organisation, at the Linlithgow Canal Centre, earlier this morning ...

... we were mainly there to look at some small dinghies (see 1st extra), which are hired-out on an hourly basis, but also had the chance to look around the whole Canal Centre - the 2nd extra (from within the Canal Museum) actually shows the original estimate of expenses for the construction of the Union Canal - some £240,468 : quite a significant sum, 200-years ago!

Main snap is of the Canal Basin - and as you can see, it was yet another excellent day, weather-wise :-)
