Solace Day 8 - The Harecastle Tunnel

We needn't have worried about not getting to the tunnel this morning. Our travel through the remaining 6 locks went quickly and smoothly. We were in the queue and ready to go through the tunnel at 10 am.

We had a nice run down to Etruria but it was quite windy. The boat is such an unaerodynamic box so we decided to moor early in a sheltered lock pound on the Etruria flight and have a rest.

We watched a DVD; "Love Happens" starring Jennifer Aniston. A film about the emotional hang-ups after bereavement. The writer of the script had obviously experienced this but the film critic who described it as "A warm-hearted romance" had not. It was a serious film about loss with a touch of romance to lighten it.
