The Kelpies
We had a brilliant day moving from Edinburgh to Anstruther on the Fife Coast.
First we stopped at South Queensferry to see the Forth Road/Rail bridges and were just walking under the rail bridge when a steam train went over. Of course we were in totally the wrong position to get a decent photo but I've put one in extras as a reminder of the experience any way.
Then we went to see the Kelpies which is something I have wanted to see for a long time. What amazing structures! I just loved them.
Finally we stopped to see the Falkirk Wheel. A very impressive piece of engineering that allows canal boats to be moved from one canal to another which is at a much lower elevation. My extra shows a canal barge being slowly lowered down to the lower canal.
