Saturday soccer school

Landon’s regular Saturday soccer school session. Cocking his lethal left foot to shoot for goal. Graceful poise and balance.

We had brunch afterwards then Landon went off with his mum for the rest of the weekend. That’s the last we’ll see of him until Wednesday.

In the afternoon we drove to Encinitas for a walk along the beach beside the Pacific Ocean with the roar of waves to our left, tall multicoloured bluffs to our right, topped by expensive houses. Beautiful blue skies, strong sun and cool breeze.

Countless beautiful stone littered the beach. We returned via the road behind those houses atop the bluffs overlooking the beach, not really envying their owners!

Forecast to be hot tomorrow, May be 30c. Friday, when we arrived, it was only 17c
