Beehive on a flower?

I spotted this flower at Mona Vale. I hope to get back to see them again in a few weeks to see their next stage of life. 
After a quick search on Google the closest plant I could find is echinacea. Some of you might be able to correct me. 
This afternoon I made a grocery delivery to a friend who is isolating at home. It was pay back for the delivery she made to me last month.
