Swan Sitting on the Future

If you look carefully at the centre of the photo you can see the swans’ nest in the reeds (extra is more close up). This is the “Gouille” lake at the mini reserve end, not the swimming end. We could see the white, unmoving shape in the reeds whilst Dad did his protective thing, swimming fast towards anything in the water. Sadly he killed another male swan who was trying to nest on the edge of his lake so now there is a lonely female swimming aimlessly at the other end of the lake.
