Conifer row
We took Kanji back to the Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace again today (see Friday's post). It covers a very large area and there weren't many other dog walkers around, which suits Kanji as he's quite a nervous dog. I thought this row of conifers looked impressive. I assume they must have been deliberately planted some time ago but I need to research what this land was used for before. I am not aware, for example, that it was part of an estate that might have featured carefully planted rows of trees. The extra photo is of a dramatic split in a tree presumably caused by last month's storms.
