Surfin' Safari

I'm sure surfing is fun but to the casual observer it appears to involve ten minutes of paddling out to try and get past the breakers, followed by two to three seconds of standing on a board before falling over.  I may be wrong, of course.

During the paddling out stage this surfer was closely investigated for quite a while by a juvenile seagull; it appeared to be trying to decide whether he was worth eating.
