Dramatic
We had a visit to RSPB Loch Leven today.
Started with coffee and a scone then a steep walk up the hills at the back of the reserve with very little sightings of wildlife but lots of lovely birdsong.
Back down to the reserve, and the hides, we saw a good number of birds on the water and the islands.
The greylag geese have young and take fast action if another bird comes too close!
Lots of black headed gulls nesting, a few lapwing, a couple of shelduck, some tufted ducks and the first shoveler that to my knowledge I have ever seen, in extra. My 300mm lens was not really up to the job for the distance involved but good enough to record the day.
