Today's the day ..................... for garden wildlife

I have to tell you, Dear Reader - that we have a mole in our midst.

By that, I don't mean the kind that give away top security secrets to a foreign power.  I mean the kind that dig a network of tunnels under your lawn - and make molehills to let you know that that's what they're doing.  

Now, most of me thinks that, if you live out in the countryside, you have to share it with the creatures that would naturally inhabit it if you weren't there.  And it's certainly not the case that we are, in any way, the kind of people who want our lawn to be manicured and pristine.  It's just that a mole is a new addition to our garden 'family' - and we'll just have to learn to live together?! 

The above is one such creature, with whom we rubbed along perfectly - right from the start ....................
