Ruling the waves

The Young Sailor on the left here is one of my goddaughters. I’m basking in reflected glory as she came second at the weekend (and first female) at the Irish Sailing Youth Championships in the Topper class! Well done YS! And it’s her birthday today, so happy celebrations all round!

With thanks to her mum, my pal fizzyfish, for the photo. Ff and I taught together and were laboratory next-door-neighbours. Except that people kept mistaking me for her mother! Complement to me, as she is as beautiful as her lovely daughter here.
