Guard Duty

Another year and the swan's are back on the same nest again.  The cob was enjoying the sunshine while his mate was steadfastly incubating the eggs on the other side of the canal.  The nest is right in front of the rear garden of one of the houses that borders the canal.  I imagine the occupiers are very careful not to cause any disturbance or stress.

Earlier I'd walked up to the leisure centre only to be met by a sign saying that the pool was closed after a technical fault.  About turn and an extra walk was in order to get in the exercise I missed from not being able to plough up and down the lengths.
