Dunes

Small sand dune behind the larger dunes that keep the Waddenzee (part of the Northsea) out of the isle of Terschelling.

These dunes also hold some old bunkers that were constructed in WWII and one of them houses wonderful statues, see extra. The kids were debating whether they liked the statue of the women better than that of the man and then contemplated on how the artist was able to round off bricks, lovely conversation to follow…

Excellent first day here: some cycling (see extra), some kite-flying, some dining and drinking and mostly nice weather.

Took a dslr too, will probably visit the beach again!
