Count and Dora

This image started out as an old fashioned photo on film in the SLR camera. I took the image to a summer class at the National Art School in Sydney on solar etching. I didn’t like the etching plates. They came out all plasticky and weird. So a number of the etchings are still sitting in my files. I need an artwork for our next Fresh Arts exhibition, “Fresh & Frosty” to be held in June. I found this and added some colour to it with pencil, pen and ink, oil paint and watercolour.
Voila! There it is, something I can put in the exhibition.
The horses of course are my old friends, Count and Dora.
