Legs Walking

This five metre high sculpture of five legs is installed in Leeds City Square.
Legs Walking is on temporary loan to the city from a private collection but it has been here quite a few years.
The artist Keith Armitage is from Leeds and died in 2002.
He has another statue of hands in Mandela Gardens.
Wish l could tell you more but l just don’t know much about it.
Often look at it as l cross the square on my way to Tuesday ballet.
Put a toe through my ballet shoe this morning, new ones ordered.
