Faded Memories

The pen belonged to my father-in-law whose name is engraved  on it in gold letters that are very tiny and worn with age and use.  My husband believes that it is a Parker 51,  but we know little else about it.  He says that he doesn't remember a time when the pen was not around and that he does remember going to the store with his father and seeing his father write checks with it.  It has been many years since the pen has been used, but, the other day, when Dana refilled it with ink, he was delighted to find that it still worked and did not even leak!  Thanks to Sheol for hosting.....
