Amsterdam…

Far too short a visit to this amazing city this afternoon. We have decided we definitely must return independently for a city break.

Since our last visit there is so much new. Apparently lockdown allowed several building projects to go ahead at speed when traffic was at a minimum. This photo is a panoramic shot from the top of the new science museum, designed to look like the hull of a sinking ship, and nicknamed the Titanic. It gave a wonderful view of the city and river Amstel.

A visit to a cheese making factory this morning and then onto Volendam , a picturesque fishing village. A lovely sunny day!
