Mechanical
Excuse the very mechanical photo, it's an XT derailleur set on my 29er. Last night I replaced the chain, amongst other things, and in testing it didn't' seem quite right.
So tonight I took it for a 10km spin, flats, up a hill, in the rain. Yep, something definitely not right, but only in low gear, under pressure i.e up hills.
So, on closer inspection I discovered the error of my ways. Dumb. Put the chain on the wrong side of one of the guides. Of course it was going to sound funny. That's what happen when you do bike maintenance late at night, in a dimly lit garage, on an upside down bike.
To be honest, lucky I recognised the prob before doing 95km off road on Saturday ... I was going to take a spare chain tho ...
