Forgive Another Iris

It's just that season, when each flower is lovelier than the last, each color more remarkable. This one I think is from someone's garden back east. It has the look of another era, much simpler than the blowsy ornate blossoms I'm usually drawn to. The petals seem fragile, barely able to hold their shape, flowing like watercolor over the page.
