I’m still getting estimates to replace my defunct gas boiler that provides in floor heat and hot water to my condo. It’s become kind of a soap opera. Business 1 whose label is on the old system (or rather the company they bought’s label) came over and took lots of photos and said they’d have an estimate by Monday. None so far. Business 2 came, photographed, and sent nine estimates based on model of boiler, piping and thermostat replacement. Finally got those straight. But then a good friend who used to work with all the companies said, “don’t use #2”. He recommended Business 3 so I called and sent them a bunch of the same pictures the other companies took. Are you still with me? So now I’m waiting to see if 3 needs to come look and if 1 has sent their estimate. Phew! Meanwhile my condo has remained livably warm with no hot water. Luckily Shelly’s place is just across the driveway from mine.
