Spring

Backlipping a lovely spring day. I was supposed to go out with the walking group from Lézignan but they were going to Pennautier, a 45-minute drive each way, which seemed a bit much for a 2-hour walk. But I felt I should make the effort anyway, so I went on my own, a local walk up to the lake and back. Lovely to see the spring flowers, the fresh leaves on the vines, lots of butterflies, and hear hoopoes and a cuckoo.

Pizza night in the evening. The bar was open, so we joined half a dozen neighbours for our first evening outdoors this year -- still warm enough to be comfortable at 10 o'clock. Quite a lot of wine was consumed along with the pizzas ...
