Kings day

King's Day in the Netherlands. the king's birthday is celebrated today. the flags are allowed to go out, including orange pennant, and orange puffs and tompouces are eaten en masse. in the streets anyone who wants can sell their stuff, except professional traders. There are old Dutch games, music and decorated bicycles. And the king goes to visit a city with his family, which can then be followed on TV. all kinds of festivals across the country... something for everyone. I'm sticking to profiteroles with coffee and a nice book today, while my husband is just at work...
