Foraging

The dark cloud early this morning followed by thunder and torrential rain kept us indoors most of today. Late this afternoon I ventured out to see if I could forage some wild asparagus as it is perfect in such conditions. If picked really fresh and tender wild asparagus is absolutely delicious. When a bit bigger with fatter tips I find it a tad too bitter. One of my neighbours was out foraging for snails which are also abundant in the fields after so much rain but I gave them a miss.
