So difficult to decide on a blip for today, but Otter won. Luke and I went out to eat at the Foresters in Portobello and they only had outside tables..but how cute are these wee beach huts (with heaters). They brought a bowl of water for Otter with our drink order, and he was very patient while we ate, as he hadn't yet had his tea.

Earlier in the day, I went to an exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland about Audubon's "Birds of America". Some very beautiful bird paintings, timely warnings about extinction, and some historical context about Audubon's slave-owning past.

I walked from there to Portobello- such a beautiful day- and then Luke and I took Otter for a run along the beach, so I have had plenty of fresh air and exercise as well as culture. I'll sleep well tonight!
