Kings day in the Netherlands “Maastricht”

Today is King's Day.
Then it's our King Willem Alexander's birthday. The Royal House celebrates this every year in a different city in the Netherlands.
Today it was Maastricht. That is the capital of the province of Limburg. I don't believe it happens anywhere in the world like it is celebrated with us. They celebrate it with the people and among the people. They walk a route of about 2 km. through the city, shaking hands, taking selfies with bystanders. There is a celebration and regional things are proposed. The royals act like "Ordinary" people. haha.
I have circled a photo. That's our little one and our son-in-law. They were filmed up close by the cameraman. Our Daughter with her husband and grandson of ours were there live. I watched it on TV. I took all the photos in front of the TV, edited them and made them into a collage to give you an idea of ​​how our king's birthday is celebrated here in the Netherlands. Orange is the color of our royal family.
Maastricht is 30 km from my hometown. So it feels a bit like a home game. Haha. And we are also proud that our capital has presented itself so well.
