Pretty Girl

Today I walked with a Trail Ambassador mentor (Bruce A) to get the hang of things.  He knew a lot of the history of Garfield Park Reservation and was an interesting walking companion and mentor.  He picked up three bags of trash and I reported the location of broken glass.  We only met 10 people.  No one needed assistance.  Then again, it was only 31F and windy with minor snow flurries.  We did not see Mill Creek Falls, another one+ hour walk away .  According to my phone, we accumulated 9,278 steps (3.8 miles) climbing 9 floor flights in 2 hours.  That was enough.

Work is well underway to restore Garfield Pond (extra).  I saw a new installation of exercise kyosks for able-bodied and disabled individuals along the Wolf Creek APT.  What a great idea.
