The wall seems ideal for Bobsblip challenge today for “broken or rundown”   Like yesterday’s blip it is within 50 metres of my house and borders the farmyard which has recently been cleared with planning for houses.  This wall is probably over 200 years old and has obviously been repaired over time but is still a good boundary with many plants in the hedge like ash, crab apple, blackthorn, hawthorn and various flowers including “Jack by the Hedge” (Garlic mustard) one of which is growing among the broken stones on the wall.  It may be unsightly but I will be sorry when it is eventually knocked down as the neighbour’s cat will be too, because she frequently sits beside the wall or creeps along it hoping to catch an unwary bird or a field mouse.
