MOUNTAIN LION SIGHTING

This handsome creature was at a flower nursery in LA, & looked very serene surrounded by these pretty flowers. The statue was not life size, but it had whiskers which made it look life-like.

This is as close as I ever want to get with
a MOUNTAIN LION. (AKA Puma, Cougar). They do live in our Santa Susanna & Santa Monica Mountains, but they are solitary & rarely seen. They are so much bigger than a Coyote or Bobcat & are less afraid of humans. They are protected because
their numbers are so few, & their challenges are so great.
